3D-Printed Guns are banned in Philadelphia -
Philadelphia has become the first U.S. city to outlaw 3D-printed firearms. The city council passed the bill after a unanimous vote on Thursday which seemed to be a response to the 3D-printed Lulz Liberator Pistol.
Although the response from a city with over 330 murders in 2012 wasn’t totally unexpected, some are left thinking if this ban is a precursor of an absolute ban on 3D printers in general. These printable weapons however are far more costly than regular firearms to produce however they are undetectable by current weapon scanners which seems to be the biggest threat.
