Will Robert Downey Jr. be enough to sway the Phablet crowd towards HTC One Max?!
Competition makes you do things. The likes of Xperia Z Ultra, Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Optimus G Pro and the upcoming Note III might soon have to content with sharing the Phablet segment spoils with HTC One Max which might get launched as soon as September.
The thing with these handsets is that manufacturers can keep their upcoming device concealed in a chamber and yet there will be feature and specs information leaks. There are also rumors doing the round that there might be a fingerprint scanner in the latest offering of HTC. Here are the bulleted details of the leaked specs:
- 5.9” (presumably full HD) screen
- Snapdragon 800 Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.3GHz
- Adreno 330 GPU
- Android Jelly Bean 4.3 with HTC Sense 5.5
- 16 GB inbuilt memory (MicroSD slot for memory expansion possible)
- 2GB RAM
- 4 Ultrapixel rear snapper with OIS and a 2.1MP front camera
- 3300mAh battery
For those who know a thing or two about Phablets, these specs might look pretty run of the mill. But what should get your interest going is that our own Tony Stark aka Robert Downey Jr. is the celebrity endorsing the HTC One Max, and in Iron Man we trust! The campaign “Here’s to Change” for this phone is like an abbreviation extempore with terms like “Humongous TinFoil Cataraman”, “Hipster Troll Carwash”, “Hot Tea Catapult” and “Happy Telephone Company” making the party.
Now all that remains to be seen is if this celebrity treatment can give this Phablet the blistering start HTC expects it to have. The launch event is certainly going to be interesting if RDJ is in the mix.
